Custom Table Page Builder Overview
Hey everybody, Anton here. I’m super excited to present the custom table page builder. We’re so excited I don’t even know where to begin.
On a high level, you can now add custom financial pages to your brochures by simply copy and pasting tables and financial data from Excel or manually typing in the financial data.
Where to Find the Table Builder
So where to find this custom table page builder: in the brochure configurator, in the append custom page.
When you click add my own pages you can see you can upload a page with an image, you can upload a PDF page, and you can also click create table page.
When you click create table page, the custom table page builder opens up and here you basically have a grid or a beginning of a grid.
You can give the page a custom title, custom table. We have a live preview, lightning fast live preview, so you’ll be able to see precisely how your table page is going to look.
We can hide the footer or keep the footer here.
Copying Tables from Excel
You can simply take a table from your Excel. I’m going to copy this table, and I’m going to paste it right here.
You’ll see that the fully formatted page appears.
Formatting Options
Now, you have several options on how to format.
So, let’s say for the first row, we want to have the items in bold. Maybe we want a different background color for the first row. We’re going to have our identity color, and in order to have a better contrast, we’re going to use white for the text.
Just by controlling the formatting for rows and columns, you can fine-tune the formatting of your custom table page.
The system will automatically detect how much data you’re trying to paste into this grid and it will automatically add columns or add rows if there’s so much data that it won’t fit on a single page. It will overflow, it will create two pages and so on.
We have some options for font size, so you can play with smaller or larger font size. You can also adjust the height of the row for your liking, but the system by default tries to spread out the information and make it as nice as possible in the page.
We can also control the alignment to the left, right, center and so on.
You can do various operations with these columns and rows. You can add more rows, add more columns, you can duplicate columns and so on.
So let us color the total here. Let us make it bold. Maybe color it with light gray. Okay, so that’s one option.
Saving and Using the Custom Page
Now if you click done or you exit, the custom page is going to be saved and you will see that page in your custom pages down here.
You can have a page that is specific for one deal or there’s a checkbox visible for every property and this page will be visible across multiple deals for you.
As you can see you can either copy and paste, create tables, or manually add the data as you need to.
Once you have the page ready, we can just place it anywhere in the document. Maybe we’ll place it at the very end of our document and you’ll see that this custom page is going to be added to our brochure at the end of the brochure.
Why This Feature Matters
We’re extremely excited to have this feature ready. This way you don’t need custom model mapping. You can just take any table, any financial data from any model whether you’re using an in-house underwriting model or some other document and you can simply paste that data and create a formatted page with this data in your brochure, place it anywhere in the brochure just like that.
What’s Coming Next
In the next iteration we are going to turn this functionality into a full custom page builder.
You will be able to use a combination of tables, text or rich text blocks, and photos in any way you need. Right after that you’ll be able to turn this into templates and then use those templates across your deals, across your OM or BOVs, just pulling the template, loading it up with data whether it’s financials, photos, images or text, and then having completely custom pages in your brochures and in your document structure.
